Hours: Group tours are available 7 days a week; 10 am. to
2 pm. Our schedule fills quickly, so please contact us early.
Admissions Fee: Admission is $5 per student. Teachers and chaperones are
admitted free.
Preparing for your visit: Teachers will be mailed pre-visit materials at
least two weeks prior to your visit.
Chaperones: For guided tours, we request one chaperone for every ten
students. For teacher-led tours, we request one chaperone for every seven
students.
Dining Facilities: The Museum does not have dining facilities. The
Bourse Food Court - just one block away on 4th Street - offers both food
purchases and table space for those who bring their lunch.
Bus Parking: The Museum is located at 321 Chestnut Street in
Philadelphia, just two blocks from Independence Hall and other historic sites.
There are parking garages for cars in the immediate vicinity on 2nd, 3rd &
4th Streets. Bus parking is available on the west side of 5th and 6th Street,
between Callowhill and spring Garden. Directions will be mailed with your
pre-visit materials.
Payment/Cancellations: Full payment must be received by the Museum at
least one week prior to your schedule group visit. The Museum does not issue
refunds, however, groups that cancel one week prior to the visit or cancel due
to inclement weather will be re-scheduled for another time. Individuals within
the group who are unable to come will be issued free passes.
Gift Store: Students are invited to visit our gift store. We offer a
wide variety of merchandise, in all price ranges, reflecting the Museum's
various themes.
