Dr. Alaine K Arnott

Dr. Alaine K. Arnott was named President and CEO of the National Liberty Museum in December 2021, after having served as its Chief Operating and Financial Officer since 2019. With over two decades of experience in for-and non-profit leadership, Dr. Arnott champions strategic change, spearheading the National Liberty Museum’s future with a new interpretive plan and vision.

Before joining the National Liberty Museum, Dr. Arnott served in progressive leadership roles at several organizations, including Acme Technologies Inc., the University of Missouri, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She has taught at both the University of Missouri and Drexel University’s Westphal College of Media Arts & Design.

Dr. Arnott also serves on the board of the Satell Institute, is an advisor for National Civics Council with the Jack Miller Center, and is a member of the Forum of Executive Women and Union League of Philadelphia. Most mornings of the week, she can be found biking or running from her home in East Falls, where she lives with her husband and two sons, to the Museum in Old City, Philadelphia.
