Big Ideas for Little Learners: Integrity

April 21, 2022 | 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Free

Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 4pm & 5 pm

Join us to read  The Smallest Girl in the Smallest Grade by Justin Roberts and explore the concept of Integrity with Lila Liberty. Learners will make connections to their own lives by pointing out behaviors they have observed in their classrooms and communities and add them to our IntegreKEY ring. They’ll learn to “walk the walk” with a fun super hero boot matching game to show integrity to their peers. Suitable for children ages 3-8 and their grown-ups.

Big Ideas for Little Learners is a literacy program for pre-schoolers and their families. Developed in partnership with the Early Childhood Education Center at the Salvation army Kroc Center, this program introduces “big ideas” — such as respect, empathy, courage — to our littlest learners. Big Ideas for Little Learners takes place monthly at the Kroc Center and explores book-based themes with children and their caregivers. We’ll read, create, and play together as we learn new ways of exploring books at home and as a family. Along the way, we’ll discover how each of us can help make the world a happier, more just, and equitable place. It is free to register and participate in this series. All programs include a read-aloud, hands-on activities, a reading corner, and refreshments. All participating families will receive a custom Take & Do bag with materials and resources to continue learning at home.
