Join us for an all-ages celebration commemorating the end of slavery and the ongoing project of liberation. Artist Zsudayka Nzinga will lead tours of her installation “Afro Bohemian,” featured in our exhibition This is My Home. The installation brings together a wide range of symbols and icons of Black history and culture. Kids and the young-at-heart are invited to a special comic book workshop celebrating real-life Black superheroes. Visit our Resource Center to learn about Black-owned businesses and Black-led organizations serving communities and creating cultural experiences throughout the city. Philadelphia’s own drumline Positive Movement will treat us to a special musical celebration to kick things off! Free with Museum Admission.
