Speaker Series
Our speaker programs foster diverse, cross-perspective dialogue on the most pressing issues of today. Featuring scholars, journalists, and thought leaders, these discussions build on NLM’s exhibitions to dive deeper into critical topics and explore the benefits, challenges, and tensions of liberty.
Pay-What-You-Wish Days

After-Hours Events
Seeking a more relaxed and social atmosphere, where you can mingle with other adults? Our 21+ after-hours programs like Third Thursdays offer a unique environment to unwind and socialize. The Liberty Gala
Our annual gala is an opportunity to celebrate our partners, our mission, and the impact we’ve made together since the organization’s launch in 2000. The Gala is our largest fundraising event of the year, and your support of this event means that more people will be inspired to explore and advance liberty for all.

Awards Programs
NLM’s awards programs honor individuals who demonstrate courage, integrity, and leadership in advancing liberty for all. Through recognition of young people, teachers, law enforcement officials, first responders, healthcare workers, and other community leaders, we celebrate those who are promoting core democratic values and making a positive impact in their communities.
Young Heroes Outreach Program (YHOP)
The Young Heroes Outreach Program (YHOP) is a 4th-8th grade curriculum that leads students through the ideation, planning, and implementation of a civic action project. Using critical thinking, inquiry, and project-based learning, YHOP teaches students the essential concepts and skills that will prepare them for responsible citizenship and help them make a positive impact in their school and community.
Big Ideas for Little Learners
Big Ideas for Little Learners (BILL) is a literacy program for children ages 3-8 to introduce and explore community values and reading fundamentals through stories, games, and hands-on activities. The 7-session curriculum is designed to work both at home and in a structured learning environment where caregivers can guide little learners through engaging and enriching lessons.
