Heroes of all backgrounds who keep the fire of freedom burning.

Behind every work of art or action, written or spoken word undertaken in the name of liberty, there are individuals that have sacrificed time, effort, and in some cases their lives, for its cause. The Heroes of Liberty from Around the World exhibit highlights just a few of these extraordinary individuals, and present works of glass art that our founder believed captured the essence of their lives.

As you enter this gallery, you are exposed to a gap that exists at the top of the Flame of Liberty. This is intended to represent the gaps that exist in liberty and serves as a reminder that many people don’t have access to the same freedoms and rights as others. Each individual in this gallery has helped to close that gap in liberty. In the corners and back of the room, you will find dioramas of scenes that deal with significant issues of liberty. Along the walls, you will find people who stood for peace, equality, freedom, and liberty. On the screens on the walls, you can find people who took action to help others or spread peace.
