Public Transportation
SEPTA BUSES providing service to this area include bus routes: 5, 9, 17, 21, 33, 38, 42, 44, 48, 57 & 121.
SEPTA Market-Frankford Subway stops at 2nd and 5th Streets on Market.
SEPTA Regional Rail Lines stop at nearby Jefferson Station.
The PHLASH Visitor Trolley stops on Chestnut Street near the Museum.
By Car
From 1-95 South: Take Exit 22, Historic Area. At bottom of ramp, go straight on 2nd St towards Chestnut. Parking is available along 2nd St between Market and Walnut.
From I-95 North: Take Exit 20, Washington Ave. Make left onto Columbus Blvd. Follow signs to Market St. Make first left onto 2nd St. Parking is available along 2nd St. between Market and Walnut.
From I-76: Take 676 East to Independence Hall (8th St) Exit. At first light, turn right onto 8th St. Turn left onto Market St. Turn right onto 4th. A public parking garage is located on 4th between Market and Chestnut. If garage is full, turn left on Chestnut (pass the Museum) to parking garage on 2nd St.
